Through her work shark finning was banned throughout French Polynesia. Currently unavailable. Ila France Porcher, author of the book My Sunset Rendezvous, Crisis in Tahiti, spent seven years with a group of blackfin reef sharks studying.

Like sharks, mantas are slow to mature, and produce very few young. Mantas are very vulnerable and we have to act quickly before the trade gets entrenched.
